About this Course
In this course, you’ll learn about the anatomy, physiology and science of how we perceive sounds around us. You’ll study the anatomy and physiology of the typical human auditory system and build a comprehensive understanding of human audition.
What You'll Learn
- How to identify and describe the biological and neurological structures associated with the typical human auditory system
- The physiological processes underlying typical human auditory function
- The limitations of human auditory perception in terms of audibility, intensity perception, spectral processing, temporal processing and sound source localization
- How to determine the audibility and loudness of pure tones for listeners with typical hearing
