Amber Carr
Regulatory Medical Writer, Pfizer
Amber Carr, Ph.D., MWC, is a regulatory medical writer at Pfizer, where she supports document development and submission in the therapeutic area of Oncology. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Carolinas Chapter of the American Medical Writers Association, from which she holds the Medical Writer Certified (MWC) credential. Dr. Carr began her career as a regulatory medical writer at Merck, where she was a member of the inaugural cohort of the Associate Medical Writer Training Program.
Before entering the field of medical writing, Dr. Carr developed curriculum and taught courses in scientific writing and research frontiers at Duke University, Columbia University, Bard College, and the Bard Prison Initiative. She was also a Postdoctoral Fellow at IBM, where she performed research in the computational design of targeted nanoparticles for drug delivery. Dr. Carr received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Stony Brook University in 2013.
