Anne Mace Deines
Nonprofit Finance Professional
Anne Mace Deines is a nonprofit finance professional and educator who specializes in strengthening small-to-medium nonprofit organizations. She’s served as chief financial officer for multiple nonprofit agencies, leading finance, administration and human resources. In these roles, she managed complex revenue portfolios — including federal, state, local and foundation funding — and supported mission-driven work in advocacy, direct service and healthcare.
With more than 20 years of nonprofit experience, Deines helps organizations strengthen financial systems, improve grant management capacity, and build infrastructure to support sustainable growth and compliance. She also consults on practical financial operations, backend workflow design, and organizational capacity building. She’s passionate about making finance accessible for program staff, emerging leaders, and adult learners in nonprofit settings. Deines holds a master’s degree in business administration with a specialization in accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
