Meet the Instructor
Jamie Shirley
Jamie Shirley is a lecturer at UW Bothell in the School of Nursing & Health Studies. Her clinical background is in oncology and hospice. Her focus of her research and scholarship is bioethics. Shirley is particularly interested in people with dependency needs and their complicated relationship with autonomy. Her clinical work has also led her to an interest in those who provide care, both lay and professional. She has participated in the development of the Certificate in Guardianship program for over two years as an instructor and as a pedagogical consultant.
