Julia Munger
Watershed Natural Resources Manager, Seattle Public Utilities
Julia Munger is a natural resource scientist with more than a decade of professional experience in the Pacific Northwest and a focus in ecological restoration, plant surveys and wetland delineation. She currently works as the watershed natural resources manager at Seattle Public Utilities (SPU), where she leads an interdisciplinary group of scientists specializing in botany, forest ecology, hydrology, and fish and wildlife.
Previously, as the watershed botanist at SPU, she was involved in conducting botanical surveys of unique ecosystems within the Cedar River Municipal Watershed, designing planting projects, monitoring and reporting on mitigation sites, and surveying for invasive plant species. Munger has also consulted as a wetland scientist and worked in parks management for various local jurisdictions. She has a B.S. in environmental science from Western Washington University and is a graduate of the UW Certificate in Wetland Science & Management.
