Karen Rotko-Wynn
President, Rotko-Wynn Consulting
Karen Rotko-Wynn, CFRE, has worked in nonprofit management and fundraising for the past 40 years. She is president of Rotko-Wynn Consulting and provides fundraising counsel to nonprofits to develop their major gifts and capital campaign strategies. She trains volunteers and staff on their role in building capacity and leads organizations through the cultivation and solicitation process.
Prior to starting her own consulting business, Rotko-Wynn spent more than 20 years as a senior executive with Alford Group, a national fundraising consultancy, where she worked with over 100 nonprofit organizations and guided their philanthropic processes. Before joining Alford Group, Rotko-Wynn was the director of development and capital campaign for the Seattle Symphony during the completion of the $159 million Benaroya Hall Campaign. She also worked for Carnegie Hall and Intiman Theatre in Seattle.
Rotko-Wynn is a past chair of and currently serves on the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Foundation for Philanthropy board and is a past president and former board member of the AFP Washington State Chapter. She's taught in the UW Certificate in Nonprofit Management program since 2010 and loves encouraging the next generation of nonprofit leaders and fundraisers to change the world.
