Mike Friedman

Lead Software Engineer, Salesforce

Mike Friedman works on Salesforce’s internal AI platform, which provides extensive predictive, generative and agentic AI capabilities at scale for Salesforce features and customers. Previously, he served as director of technical research at DS-IQ, a company that performed advanced predictive analytics and machine learning for Walmart and other large retail chains.

Friedman has taught and designed courses in UW’s Certificate in Machine Learning program, and he's served for several years as a member of the certificate’s advisory board. Reflecting his innovative spirit, Friedman has been granted patents in a variety of software areas. He earned his bachelor's degree, master's degree and Ph.D. in information and computer science at the University of California, Irvine.
