Meet the Instructor

Rob Alford

Rob Alford is a software engineer, technical content developer and coding instructor based in Seattle. After making a career transition from construction to the tech industry, Rob has worked for a variety of organizations, including digital agencies, startups and enterprise-level companies.

As a full-stack web developer, Rob works with Python and JavaScript frameworks to build websites, apps and API services. As a technical content developer, he writes coding tutorials and digital content for publications at companies such as Twilio, Mattermost, ContentLab, and the online educational platform Real Python. Rob has taught coding and software development programs and mentored learners through the nonprofit organization Unloop, Seattle Public Schools and UW Professional and Continuing Education.
