Sean D. Sullivan
Professor, The Comparative Health Outcomes, Policy, and Economics (CHOICE) Institute, University of Washington
Sean D. Sullivan is a professor and former dean of the UW School of Pharmacy. He holds a joint appointment as professor of health services in the UW School of Public Health and adjunct appointment at the Fred Hutch Cancer Center’s Public Health Sciences Division. He has a degree in pharmacy from Oregon State University, a master’s in administrative and economic sciences from the University of Texas and a Ph.D. in health economics and policy from the University of California-Berkeley.
Sullivan has authored more than 450 journal articles, book chapters, task force reports and governmental publications. His research interests include technology assessment and medical decision making. He is a past member of the Medicare Evidence Development & Coverage Advisory Committee and a former president of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research. In 2020, he was elected to the U.S. National Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicine. See Sullivan's full bio.
