Senior Software Engineer, The New York Times

Steven Speicher is a senior software engineer at The New York Times (NYT). He specializes in full-stack web applications and currently works on Games, helping to grow subscriber value for a well-loved product. Previously, he built a 0 to 1 NYT Parenting product and contributed to the NYT Covid-19 Tracker.

Before The New York Times, Speicher worked at The Seattle Times, the University of Washington and Nebraska’s NPR- and PBS-affiliated station. He studied at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and started his career in video production before pivoting to technology. He is passionate about helping others identify intersecting interests, transitioning careers and developing skills that help them get there.
